What She Wanted
A beautiful and productive work environment can make all the difference and California Closets Westchester design consultant Joanne Palumbo wanted to achieve both. Her client, a busy professional, had an office with a sprawling view overlooking the city, where they could admire the landscape and changing seasons. However, the space needed to be redesigned to better accommodate her client’s work style and storage needs.
I wanted this office to look beautiful at every angle.
How we did it
To create the clean and contemporary style her client envisioned, Joanne presented a streamlined peninsula desk design to maximize the space and preserve the floor-to-ceiling window views. Using the wall space around the desk, Joanne incorporated both closed and open storage for her client’s personal collections of books and keepsakes, as well as designated areas to accommodate a TV and printer. Joanne also added open glass shelves to lend an extra touch of sophistication. To complete the new office’s overall appeal, interior designer Anne Joyce brought warmth and personality to the space with details such as an oversized pendant lamp and decorative accents.
