What Nancy Teachey Wanted
Nancy Teachey had a vision. She wanted to transform the functional but dated closet in her home into a true destination: walk in closet that was more than the sum of its parts.
She didn’t just want a place to hang her clothes but rather a luxurious and welcoming space — a room, essentially, where she and her husband could start and end the day, to connect with one another.
Nancy first reached out to another vendor but quickly realized they weren’t capturing the essence of what she wanted. Determined to get there, she turned to California Closets.
California Closets really understood my vision. They went far above the competition in terms of design, materials, and curation of my closet space.
HOW CALIFORNIA CLOSETS DID IT
Design consultant Bethany Schlegel of California Closets Raleigh set out to bring Nancy’s aspirational vision to life, to turn her utilitarian closet into something transformational.
Bethany met with Nancy multiple times in order to fully understand the project’s scope. She then went to work — measuring, planning, ideating, sourcing, and finishing.
Nancy was a dream client. She had a singular vision of what she wanted to achieve, and it was so rewarding to get there together.

Through expert design, quality materials, efficient implementation, and superior service at every step, the Raleigh team was able to deliver every aspect of the desired outcome, which included makeup and cologne stations, sitting areas, and intuitive organization — all in a stylishly serene setting.
