WHAT THEY WANTED
For Nashville homeowners Hannah and Tim Smith, the goal for their new primary closet was clear: to create an elegant shared space that felt like a high-end boutique. But they also had one unusual request. They wanted to be able to hang everything.
After reaching out to California Closets of Tennessee the couple began working with designer JT Morin, who took time to understand their needs. They met multiple times and ultimately landed on a sophisticated design that exceeded every wish.
We wanted a lot of things but JT gave us a lot, too.
How California Closets did it
Flexible design and pricing allowed the couple to work as co-designers with JT. They got to see every design change in real-time, thanks to California Closets’ 3D software.
Featuring a rich and warm wood grain finish offset by matte-black hardware, dark marble countertops, and aluminum accents, the custom design incorporates a place to hang it all – even shorts with coordinating hangers. The highly personalized design also includes plenty of drawers in the twin marble-topped islands for items that need to be tucked away.
A layered lighting design adds deceptively subtle detail, including ribbon lights in and under each closet nook and the “shoecase” wall.
The result is a dressing room that makes a statement.
It’s the most luxurious and beautiful closet I have ever seen in my life!
