WHAT CAMILLE STYLES WANTED

After working with California Closets on numerous spaces in her home, author and lifestyle blogger Camille Styles was finally ready to tackle her kids’ closets. She knew corralling the toys, clothes, and books was important, but she also wanted to make it easy for her kids to dress themselves for school and put things away at the end of each day. While the kids’ existing closets already had built-in shelving, it wasn’t providing the function they needed. Space was also tight, so she had to optimize every inch. The Everyday System™ offered the exact versatility – and scalability – she envisioned, and her kids needed.

Turns out that a more modular storage solution like this will be able to grow with my children and last them until they leave for college!

How California Closets did it

Using The Everyday System’s online design tool, Camille was able to measure her spaces and define specific needs for each child. The tool generated the perfect custom storage solutions and shipped them directly to her home. A sleek, hidden track system allows shelves to move up and down and hanging rods can be adjusted as her children grow. Soft-close drawers also keep clothing neatly stored in short stacks for easy visibility.

I’m still blown away by how built-in this [closet] system looks, without requiring any construction.

final result

As a busy mom and entrepreneur, Camille needs her home storage to work for her – as well as her kids. By creating an easy to maintain system in each closet, their clothes, shoes, and backpacks no longer land on the floor. Everything has its place. Plus, the kids’ hard-to-reach upper shelves aren’t wasted: these store out-of-season clothes, extra bedding, and bulky items like sleeping bags.
