How we did it
California Closets design consultant Morgan Haynie showed up at LauRen’s home with tape measure in hand, ready to tackle the tricky space. Morgan measured the entire room, assessed the sloped walls, and took stock of a beautiful window—which she knew should become the focal point. Knowing LauRen wanted to maximize hanging space, Morgan also designed shelves with open storage above and hanging rods beneath that hit comfortably beneath the slope. To enhance the window, Morgan framed it with shelving and drawer units to house LauRen’s shoe and purse collection. A window seat offered the perfect finish touch, tying the entire design together while also providing LauRen and Dallas a comfortable spot to enjoy their outdoor view.
final result
Morgan did an amazing job ‘getting creative’ to fit our space. After a challenging start, it came to have a personality all of its own, and now our ‘cloffice’ feels like home!

LauRen’s clean, crisp, and well-considered system delivers the closet she always dreamed of. Plus, when LauRen saw the transformed room, she was so inspired by warm and inviting space that she decided to turn it into a home office, too. Now, the once perplexing space works double duty as LauRen’s dream closet and dream office—or as LauRen calls it, her “cloffice”.
