HOW CALIFORNIA CLOSETS DID IT
Because the “home” would host his professional team as well as dinner parties (because its dining room is larger than Bobby’s own!), there were a number of subtle features Cara added to the design to give it all the customization Bobby desired.
For example, an oversized printer needed to be integrated into the closet but had the potential to create dead space that wouldn’t be useful in the future.
To avoid this, Cara installed support poles above the printer so that when it’s removed the area can be used for long, hanging clothing.
When it came to the aesthetics, Cara worked with Bobby’s team to draw inspiration from the rest of the home, leaning into natural textures, black accents, and mixed metal hardware.
Cara also integrated stunning lighting elements above the hanging rods and shoe racks to illuminate details such as gold support poles against the black backing.
final result
The contrast between black and linen that we used in this design is always a crowd favorite, and the result is absolutely gorgeous.
