California Closets Portland – Giving Back
Connecting with various organizations in the area is something California Closets Portland takes pride in. The team has made business and personal commitments to three charity organizations: Dress for Success®, Home Builders Foundation and Soles4Souls.
California Closets Portland has partnered with Dress for Success, an organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and career development tools to help them thrive in work and life.
The Portland team accepts in-kind donations of professional clothing from its clients to donate to local Dress for Success affiliates, and they also design, produce and install special closets for local Dress for Success boutiques.
In June 2015, the team spent a Saturday at the Portland Rescue Mission doing work for the Home Builders Foundation. They installed various spaces for the women’s area of the shelter to create more beds and better utilize space at the mission.
To give back to Sole4Souls, the Portland location holds an annual shoe drive during November and December. It’s always a big hit with customers and staff alike.
