California Closets Long Island & Southampton Partner with Breathe Believe

California Closets is proud to announce its partnership with the Breathe Believe organization and to join its mission to raise support for those with Cystic Fibrosis.  California Closets has pledged to donate 1% of its sales for the month of July to Breathe Believe.  The donation will be used to secure important medical devices, hospitalizations and medications which the organization provides to its beneficiaries.

Sponsoring the Peaceful Warrior

To celebrate the partnership, California Closets and Breathe Believe will be sponsoring Kickboxer Elyse Tomasello in her attempt to claim the USKBA Featherweight Championship!

Elyse Tomasello was diagnosed with CF at 11 months old.  The genetic mutations which cause the disease effect Elyse’s respiratory and digestive systems.  Despite these challenges, Elyse has strived as an athlete.  After competing in collegiate soccer Elyse was looking for a new challenge and was introduced to kickboxing.  She excelled in the sport and began to compete when her talents were noticed by her coaches.  Recently returning from a knee injury, Elyse won her last bout by TKO in just 53 seconds!  When not training for her next match, Elyse is the manager of a local kickboxing fitness gym in Bayshore, NY.

California Closets has been inspired and enlightened by Elyse’s journey leading up to this championship match.  Competing at this level takes a great amount of effort and discipline.  It is our hope that the money raised throughout July will lessen obstacles for other CF patients that are working hard towards fulfilling their dreams.

Support the Mission

Breathe Believe is 501(c)3 organization founded by Angela Ruggeri, who lives with Cystic Fibrosis herself. It was initiated to provide financial assistance to individuals with Cystic Fibrosis who cannot afford the essentials to stay alive. Breathe Believe gives hope to those struggling with CF who find themselves unable to pay insurmountable bills for necessary medications and hospitalizations. Cystic Fibrosis patients may eventually need to undergo a double lung transplant surgery to stay alive.  NY has one of the lowest percentage of residents enrolled to be an organ donor.  Only 27% of  New Yorkers over the age of 18 are registered to donate when the Nationwide average if 50%.  Please consider registering as an organ donor by clicking on the button below.
